The “Diada” is a national celebration in Catalonia that takes place annually on 11 September. This event commemorates the fall of Barcelona during the Spanish’ Sucession (1714). That meant that Catalonia lost its power in its own territory and lost to absolutism. This day reclaims Catalan traditions, history and language!
